Well it is the night before my last round of chemotherapy and believe it or not, I am truly lucky. I know that not everyone that is diagnosed with cancer get's to hear the words cureable and treatable when consulting with their Oncologists (that is if they have access to one). But I wouldn't change anything, because I have been given a perspective that has enriched my life, made contact with other people more meaningful, and made me more thankful for everything that I have. The other day I was in Boulder Kind Care, and I spotted someone filling out our paperwork who looked to be a cancer patient, she was. I could relate, and do my small part to make her feel more comfortable about trying to improve her situation. I don't take being an advocate lightly, because I know that I have a voice that many don't get to use. So I will fight cancer, and I will fight for the people that didn't get to hear the words treatable and curable, and help people that want a better way. More to come...
