Yesterday, I heard another great testimonial from one of our patients. This gentleman, in his mid-50's has been battling with high blood pressure since his early twenties. A few months ago, after getting his Medical Marijuana card, he decided that he was not going to take his blood pressure medication anymore. Instead, he began an informal experiment using Medical Marijuana. He began eating an edible in the morning and then 1 to 2 hits during the day. He just had a check-up with his Dr. and was told for the first time in decades that his blood pressure was within normal limits. When his Dr. asked how he had achieved this great feat, his patient told him his story. The Dr. was so intrigued that he asked our patient to work with him to further study his results!
Of course we always want our patients to first consult with their Dr. to discuss any change in their medications. What is so wonderful about this story - and a common theme we've been seeing with our patients - is that there is a dynamic happening. More and more, our patients are realizing that they have a choice in their medical care. This movement is making them more aware of what they are taking, how they are living, eating, behaving...and making more changes in order to have a better quality of life. BRAVO!
