About Medical Marijuana
In 2001, Colorado voters passed Amendment 20, which legalized the use of medical marijuana for people with debilitating medical conditions including cancer, HIV, AIDS, severe pain, migraines, seizures, muscle spasms and more.
If you have a serious problem that has not responded to conventional medicine, you might consider medical marijuana as a viable alternative.
How do I become a patient?
1. A doctor must write you a marijuana recommendation. Some patients are reluctant to ask their primary physician for a referral. We can refer you to a physician to perform an independent, confidential evaluation.
2. Send the doctor’s recommendation to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, along with your application and $90 fee. Designate Boulder Kind Care as your caregiver. We’ll help you with all the necessary forms, and make copies for your records.
3. Once approved, you will receive a state-issued medical marijuana card and be included in the medical marijuana registry. Your ID card is valid for one year, after which you’ll need to apply again.
Private, Confidential and Safe
Your privacy is protected under HIPAA – The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. The Colorado medical marijuana registry is confidential, as well. We promise never to release your records, or use your name in any way.
Our facilities are safe and your information is kept strictly confidential.

We are now accepting new members, please feel free to ask our friendly front desk staff about how to become a member at your next visit or call at 720.235.4232 for more information. As a member you will receive a monthly free eighth with purchase of an eighth or more. Additionally, members always receive four gram eighths and eight gram quarters.
